Methodology

How tokens are selected, where the numbers come from, and what money can and cannot buy on this site.

Which tokens are listed

Furieverse lists tokens based on characters from Matt Furie's Boy's Club and the wider universe around it. Listing is free and coverage is meant to be complete — a partial index would not be worth consulting. Projects must be at least one month old before they are added.

There are currently 45 listings. Where two different tokens claim the same character, both are listed under distinct names rather than one being chosen as the "real" one.

Where the data comes from

Prices, market caps, liquidity, volume and transaction counts come from DexScreener, with GeckoTerminal as a fallback. Data is refreshed every two minutes.

Where a token trades in more than one pool, we quote the pool with the deepest liquidity, since that is the one that determines the price you can actually get.

Active, dormant and stale

DexScreener drops any token with no trades in the last 24 hours. That absence says nothing about whether a contract is valid, so instead of dropping those tokens we classify them:

  • Active — traded within the last 24 hours. All figures current.
  • Dormant — no trades in 24 hours. Price and market cap are the last known values; percentage changes show as “—” rather than zero, because no change and no trading are different things.
  • Stale — we could not reach any source on the last refresh. The most recent values we hold are shown, with the time of the last successful update.

A dormant token's market cap is retained indefinitely. It has not changed, precisely because nothing traded.

Market cap versus FDV

Where circulating supply cannot be determined on-chain, we show fully diluted value instead and label it FDV. FDV assumes the entire supply is circulating, so treat it as an upper bound. Ecosystem totals use whichever figure is available per token.

The ecosystem 24-hour change is weighted by market cap. An equal-weighted average would let a $7,000 dormant token move the headline number as much as PEPE.

The Furieverse Index

Total ecosystem market capitalisation, normalised to 100 on 2026-07-28. It currently stands at 99.33. Because the baseline is fixed, the index is comparable across any period.

Monitoring flags

A Watch flag is applied automatically when any of the following is true:

  • Market cap below $25.0K
  • Liquidity below $5.0K
  • Dormant for 14 days or more
  • No price obtainable from any source for 3 consecutive days
  • No official website or social accounts published in the market data

Flags cannot be bought, and they cannot be removed by payment. They are derived from data on every refresh and clear by themselves when the underlying condition clears. Nobody at Furieverse can set or unset one, and no amount of money changes that. If the flags were for sale the index would be worthless, which is precisely why they are not.

Spotlight placement

Spotlight is paid placement. Three slots are pinned above the table, each marked with a Spotlight badge, and outbound links from a Spotlight listing carry rel="sponsored".

What Spotlight buys is position above the table and nothing else. Specifically it does not:

  • change any reported figure
  • change the organic sort order — Spotlight tokens also appear in their true ranked position below
  • remove or suppress a monitoring flag
  • affect whether a token is listed at all

Corrections

If a contract address, name or chain is wrong, tell us and it will be fixed. Accuracy is not negotiable and corrections are free. Get in touch.

Nothing on this site is financial advice. Market data is sourced from public decentralised exchange APIs and may lag the market or be incomplete. Always verify a contract address against a project's own channels before trading.
